How to read this
- A “<” value was below the laboratory’s limit of detection or quantification.
- “Absent in 1 g” means the laboratory could not find the organism in the quantity it tested.
- The laboratory applied no specification limit of its own. The EU maximum levels are added by us, from Regulation (EU) 2023/915: lead entry 3.1.28, cadmium 3.2.21.1, mercury 3.3.2.
- A dash means EU law sets no maximum level for that parameter in a food supplement. We have not invented one to fill the gap.
- Methods are European Pharmacopoeia monographs for the microbiology, and the laboratory’s own accredited in-house method for the metals.
- Results relate to the item tested.
Against the legal limit
The highest reading on this page is 10 times under what the law allows.
Each rule is the whole of what Regulation (EU) 2023/915 permits in a food supplement. The mark on it is the highest result across all three formulations. Where the laboratory detected nothing, the mark stands at its detection limit, so the true figure is lower again.
These three rules are drawn in micrograms per kilogram: 1 mg/kg is 1000 µg/kg, so the 0.03 mg/kg in the table above is the 30 µg/kg here. No maximum level exists for arsenic or for manganese in a food supplement, so neither has a bar. Manganese is not a contaminant at all: it is an essential mineral, with an EU nutrient reference value of 2 mg a day.

How a batch gets here
Six steps between a field and this page.
- 1Source Actives and botanicals are chosen on a written specification: species, plant part, standardised content.
- 2Qualify The supplier's own documents are reviewed before anything is ordered: specification, allergens, certificate of analysis.
- 3Manufacture The batch is made by a certified manufacturing partner working to GMP. The partner's certificates are listed below.
- 4Test A sealed pack from the finished batch goes to an independent laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025. That is the report on this page.
- 5Release The paperwork is checked against the specification before the batch is released for sale. A batch that does not match is not released.
- 6Publish The report is printed here in full, with every result, whatever it says.

- Each report describes the batch the laboratory received: one sealed pack of sixty capsules, opened and measured. It is a record of that batch, not a promise about every batch after it.
- They cover contamination and microbiology. Identity and dose are set by the specification the batch is manufactured to, not by these reports.
- Formulations that are not yet in production have no report here. When they are tested, their results join the table above.
- The complete signed reports are retained by SoulBotanic Ltd. The versions published here are public extracts, with every result unchanged.
